Before establishing Aogiri Appraisal Co., Ltd., Gen Metsugi spent approximately 20 years in banking and financial markets, including experience at JPMorgan and The Bank of Nova Scotia (Scotiabank).
He worked in Hong Kong for more than 10 years, handling institutional financial-market work in an international environment. That background informs Aogiri's approach to valuation, risk, negotiation, documentation and cross-border communication.
He later relocated to Nagano and worked in regional banking before establishing Aogiri. In addition to professional appraisal and brokerage work, he has practical experience as a real estate investor.
Education: Waseda University, School of Science and Engineering; Graduate School of Engineering, The University of Tokyo.
